New venue and date announced for Curry Life Awards 2026

Thousands of customers’ votes received for biggest event in curry calendar

The 17th edition of the Curry Life Awards will be hosted at the prestigious InterContinental London Park Lane hotel.

The event, taking place on Sunday 4 October, champions the best of the best in the curry industry, from chefs, to restaurants, to takeaways and outstanding businesses. The annual awards are hosted by a TV personality and attended by influential figures from hospitality, business and government.

There are several awards given across each category, with nominations put forward by the public, restaurant owners and chefs. These are then rigorously assessed by the Curry Life team against a set of criteria.

Last year, a total of 39 Awards were presented nationally across five categories, including Best Restaurant, Best Chef, Best Newcomer, Editor’s Choice and Best Takeaways. A special Curry Legend Award was also given to entrepreneur Amin Ali, who founded the iconic central London restaurant, The Red Fort.

Preparations for this year’s awards are already well underway, with the Curry Life team compiling the shortlists over the next few weeks. Thousands of customers have voted for their favourite restaurant, chefs and takeaways, and votes continue to pour in. Those interested in applying for the awards can still enter online through the official Awards website, https://currylifeawards.com/how-to-enter/.

To be eligible to enter, restaurants or takeaways must have at least four-star food hygiene ratings or scores on the doors.

If you run or work in an Indian restaurant/takeaway, you can enter by nominating yourself. Chefs, suppliers and customers can also nominate by filling in the form online and outlining why a particular restaurant, chef or takeaway deserves to win.

Shortlisted entries will be invited to attend the glittering ceremony later this year and guests will get a chance to network with their peers and hear from entrepreneurs, business advisers and politicians from the hospitality sector and beyond.

Guests at last year’s ceremony included Lord Karan Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer,  Stephanie Peacock, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Department for Culture, Media and Sport), Rushanara Ali MP, Mike Woods MP, Wendy Morton MP, and Ben Obese-Jecty MP, who all spoke passionately about the contribution the industry makes to the UK economy and the communities it serves.

The Awards have also previously welcomed Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Wes Streeting, London Mayor Sadiq Khan and former Home Secretary Priti Patel, further highlighting the curry industry’s significance. Curry Life Media is looking forward to continuous support from politicians for the awards and the industry.

Syed Nahas Pasha, editor-in-chief of Curry Life magazine said: “We are looking forward to assessing this year’s entries and celebrating the industry’s achievements, as well as hosting the awards in a new venue.  The prestigious InterContinental Park Lane London is a fitting location for the most sought-after awards in the industry.”

Don’t delay your entry! To be recognised as one of the industry’s best, enter online and the Curry Life team could soon be visiting your business. Further information is available by email at info@currylife.uk or +447956 588777.
